I'm glad you stopped by for a visit.

This site is about the good times I've had in in my home state, doing what I like to do the most, hunting and fishing.

I will occassionally slip in a story about a trip to one of the other states, or some pictures taken in another state, just to be fair.

Places you can visit while you're here...

Hunter Education Have you taken any sort of hunter education classes? If not, I highly recommend that you do take a class. I have taken several, and found them very interesting and enjoyable.

I put this entry on top of my list, because Hunter Education is the key to the future of hunting. Hunters must prove to the non-hunting public that they are sportsmen/women, and not just shooters. By doing taking such classes, we reduce the number of hunting related accidents and fatalities, and take away the arguements used by the anti-hunting groups.

Hunter Education is mandantory for any Minnesota resident who wishes to hunt in Minnesota, and who was born after Jan. 1, 1980. It is often needed by adults that want to hunt outside of Minnesota. I also have links to the class listings maintained by Minnesota's Department of Natural Resources.

The list includes the "entry level" Firearms Safety classes, and Advanced Hunter Education, and Bow Hunter Education classes.

T.I.P. (Turn In Poachers) T.I.P. is a program you can use to report game and fishing regulation violators. It's a method of taking the occasional "bad apple" out of the ranks of law-abiding sportsmen and women.
Landowner Relations

A vast percentage of the land in the United States is privately owned. The last thing we need to see is more "No Tresspassing" signs on private land. The ability to obtain permission to hunt and/or fish on private land is dependant upon maintaining good relationships with landowners.

Whitetail Deer Hunts

A short history of the many deer hunts I've enjoyed, and photos of the deer that we (my family members and friends) have been fortunate to take.

Duck and Goose Hunts The duck and goose hunts I've had. Not as many or as often as the deer hunts, but enjoyable none the less.
Small Game Hunts A sunny October afternoon, and some squirrel - a nice way to spend time in the woods.
Fishing

Minnesota is known as the "Land of 10,000 Lakes". Actually, the precise number is 11,842. I've probally been on 50-60 of them, so I've still got plenty to choose from....
