Information for visitors and prospective members
Come out on one of our tramps
Visitors are most welcome to come on our tramping trips.
On most Sundays there is a day tramping trip departing
from outside the Post Shop in Glenmall Place, Glen Eden
(map,
map2)
at 8:30 am.
Check the
programme
for more details.
For most day trips there is no need to book in.
Just turn up to our Glen Eden meeting point 10 to 15
minutes before the departure time. If you have not
been out with us before, we recommend that you phone
the trip leader a few days in advance.
We usually car-pool to the tracks. Everybody (members and
non-members) pays the car driver an amount depending on distance.
For local trips this is typically $5–$7. There is
also a $5 fee for non-members.
Come to one of our monthly evening meetings.
Visitors are most welcome to come to one of our
monthly evening meetings.
Monthly evening meetings are held on the third Tuesday
of every month * at 7.30 pm, usually with a guest speaker.
Everybody puts $1 in the plate to help cover costs
(tea, coffee, biscuits, and hall hire).
Monthly meetings are at the
Kelston Community Centre,
corner of Great North Road and Awaroa Road
(map,
map2).
* Except: December – second Tuesday; and January – no meeting.
