What we've been up to.....

Here are a few pictures of some of the projects we've been working on lately.  The most recent pictures are first.  If you want a chronological view...start at the bottom!    ....and the most requested picture of all.... Jeff on the lawn tractor!!!!

Well, the main project for the week of 05 AUG 2000 was washing the windows.  Since I can't really take pictures of that I decided to include a picture of one of the hanging baskets I put up this past week (although look how the front windows sparkle!!)
In the last couple of weeks since we re-trimmed the shrubs and reworked the ground around the bushes, we've gotten between 1 and 2 inches of new growth.  See all of the very light green on the holly bushes? I circled one spot of the new growth in the picture to the right.
Here's the stone we put down at the side of the house and a side view of the 1,800 lbs of white marble chips we put around the bushes.
Here's what the hedge looks like now.  From looking at it, I'd never guess how much rock is in there!
Here's a picture of the shrubs at the side of the front yard.  Before we trimmed them, you couldn't see the driveway next door. You can see it through the bushes now.  Sure makes a difference in how the yard looks.
Here are the plants I put out 07/25/2000.  The tall green/white and green/pink leafy ones are Caladium and the shorter ones at the end of the flower boxes are Dragon Wing Begonia.  The guy with the bum knee at Home Depot says they'll come back next year...sounds like a winner to me!
The two pictures above are of the plant ledge and one cabinet in the kitchen. I tried to get a picture of the other cabinet top that has all of my amberina glass, but it keeps coming out too dark.  I'll keep working on it, though.  Of course....you could always come to Texas and see it yourself!

And now....the picture you've all been waiting for.... Jeff on the lawn tractor!!  The MOST requested picture!
He is really enjoying his new toy!
