Ongoing Programmes
YPBI Sudan Khartoum Forum are currently carrying out the following programmes since the beginning of the year.
1. Integrated approach to peace building.
This is a continuous programme of intergrating talk about peacebulding in any event being organized by youth in the churches around Khartoum and the outskirts. These peacebuilding programmes are in the forms of seminars, group discussions, dramas and other means. It has been intergrated successfully several times with SCC HIV/AIDS programmes both in Khartoum and the regions.
2. Translation of the Youth Peace Manual into Arabic.
The Youth Peace Training Manual is being used by the YPBI to train youth in peacebuilding activities. The manual is currently available only in English language. Thus, Khartoum Forum has undertaken a project to translate the manual into Arabic. It is hope that the translation will not only benefit the youth in Sudan but also the the whole of North Africa Subregion : Egypt, Morocco Algeria. The translation process is currently half done.
3. Communication for peace programe
This an ambitious programme of YPBI Sudan to pass the message to peace to the youth through the mass and small media. It involves the production of radio and television programmes about peacebuilding. This part of the programme is being conducted in colaboration with the SCC radio and TV programme. Other parts of the communication for peace programme includes the production of peace information, education and communication (IEC) materials in the forms of peace posters, stickers, caps and T-shirts.
