Kenny and Mark played a great BFL game. On this play, the Sparrows bat down a potential two point conversion attempt.

Sparrows Edge Icebergs

June 4, 2005- Coming into this game, the Sparrows (1-1) were in a do or die situation. On the verge of missing the playoffs, Kenny needed a win over the one of the toughest teams in the BFL, the Icebergs (1-1).

These two teams put on quite a show, with some great catches in a very offensive oriented game. Quarterback Howie Gogo was on target completing almost every pass two these two teams.

The Icebergs would be incontrol in the first half going up by 7 points on every possession. But the Sparrows would not allow Mark a lead bigger then seven, answering every touchdown. At half time, it was tied at 35-35.

In the second half, and with the Sparrows leading 42-35, Kenny would end the Icebergs first drive with an interception touchdown to take a 16 point lead.

But Mark responded with a touchdown and then stopped the Sparrows on downs to regain the possession. After a no huddle drive, the Icebergs cut the lead down to 51-49.

The Sparrows would regain momentum with thier second throwoff return of the game right away.

In the forth, the Sparrows batted down a two point conversion that would have cut the lead down to one point, but instead, it remained a 65-62 lead. After the two teams exchanged touchdowns, the Icebergs attempted an onside throw. The play was unsuccessful and the Sparrows were able to hang on to win the game 72-69.

Both teams are now 1-1 going into their final game.

Notes:
-The Sparrows win ties the all time series at 1 win a piece.
-This is only the 2nd Icebergs loss all time. The only other loss coming at the hands of the Gamblers.
-Howie Gogo's streak of quarters without an interception ended at 11, which spanned through four games.
-Both teams had throwoff returns in this game. The Sparrows had 2, the Icebergs had 1.
