The Falcons and Black Knights put on quite a show last night as the two teams competed in a very intense battle.

June 11, 2005- Going into the Falcons (2-0) vs. Black Knights (1-1) matchup, both teams were undefeated. In one of the most anticipated matchups of the year, we got a taste of an intense, playoff like atmosphere in a classic BFL game.

John, the vetern would start with the ball and score touchdowns on 10 of his 11 possesssions. The other possession resulted in a field goal, which the right call at the time.

Ross would not have a single lead in this game, but battle on every down to try and stop this perfect Black Knights team.

The teams exchanged touchdowns throughout the game, making some spectacular plays in the process. Quarterback Howie had his best game of the season for this game, throwing for 20 touchdowns, many of them on long passes.

At halftime, the Black Knights had a 42-35 lead.

With the ball and a chance to tie the score again, the Falcons missed on 3 plays to give the Black Knights possession.

John, would score and take a 14 point lead, 49-35.

Ahead, 49-42, John went for a field goal to take a 52-42 lead over the Falcons. But Ross would keep cutting John's lead to 3.

Late in the 4th, the Falcons began going for 2 point conversions to eat away at the Black Knights lead. Down 73-64, Ross scored a touchdown and a two point conversion to cut the lead to 73-72. Then, Ross successfully completed an onside throw to gain possession of the ball with under a minute to play.

And as time expired in the game, the Falcons score a touchdown to win it 79-73 in dramatic fashion.

Notes:
-The Falcons and Hustlers are both 2-0 and have clinched playoff births.
-Howie has thrown 1 interception in his last 17 quarters played.
