My hope is to unite art,
poetry and song. Although, many songs are born from poems, art normally stands
on its own and in its own beautiful right. I attempt to merge these in an
attempt to intensify what's being conveyed and sometimes to
give a little more to a piece of art.
When truth be told to another, it often lands harsh and
overwhelming. I believe poetry doesn't do that, or color speech as speech has no
color; but it lends a certain ear or hearing. The added benefit is an
understanding that can strike the heart and sends it to its knees.
Many people ask me about my poems, like what does this mean, what
does that mean? My response is "Please tell me what it means to you".
For art is just that, what it means to you. I look forward to your responses to
this question and any other comments you may have.
