KNOW ALL MEN by these Presents, That      I Arthur Bradshaw of Innoree in Craven County are

holden and firmly bound and obliged unto      David Smith of Charles town in the County aforesaid
                                                                                       in the full and juft Sum of
Two Hundred Thirty Five pounds One Shilling & one penny

lawfull
current Money of the faid Province, to be paid to the faid   David Smith his

                                                                                     
certain Attorney Executors, Adminifrators or Affigns:  To which Payment well and truly to be made,  I bind    myself          and each                of   my              :Heirs, Executors and Adminstrators                      , firmly by thefe Prefents.   Sealed with   my     Seal, and dated the   first    Day of   October        , in the Year of our Lord One Thoufand Seven Hundred and Seventy  One           , and in the     Eleventh      Year of his Majefty's Reign.
THE CONDITION of the above Obligation is fuch, That if the  above-bounden     Artthur Bradshaw his

Heirs, Executors, or Adminiftrators fhall and do well and truly pay, or caufe to be paid, unto the above-mentioned

GreetingWE COMMAND you without Delay to attach the Body of 
Arthur Bradshaw of Innoree in Craven County


wherefoever  He   may be found within Our faid Province, fo that you compel  him  be and appear before Our Juftices at Our Court of Common Pleas, to be holden at Charleftown, on the firft Tuefday in  July    next, to anfwer to   David Smith of a plea That he tender to him Two hundred & thirty five pounds one shilling one penny  in Current Money of our said province which he owes him & justly claims & so forth

And have you then and there this Writ.

WITNESS  The honorable Thomas Knox Gordon Esqr our Chief Justice of Charlestown

The Within Named David Smith Maketh Oath that the Sum of One hundred twenty pounds four shillings & Six pence half penny Curry wilth Lawful ILnterest from the first Day of Oct last is justly due to him by Bond from the within Named Arthur Bradshaw

I have endeavoured by Philomon Waters my lawful Deputy to find the within named Defendant but could not & therefore by him left a true Copy of this writ with a notice thereon indorfed at his usual and not ilnterior dorr of his Residence purfuant to the Act of Assembly

Arthur Bradshaw of Innoree in Craven County was attached to answer to David Smith of a plea that he tender to him Two Hundred & Thirty five pounds one Shilling Lawfull Current Money of the said Province which he owes him & unjustly detains & so forth For that Whereas the said Arthur ... the first day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand Seven Hundred & Seventy one at Charlestown in the County & Province aforesaid by his writing Obligatory Sealed with the seal of the said Arthur ... and to the Court of said Lord the now King here shown the Date whereof is the same day & Year last aforementioned a Copy whereof is herewith filed Acknowledged himself to be firmly held unto the said David .. in the sum of Two Hundred & Thirty five pounds one Shilling of Lawfull Current Money of the said Province to be paid to the said David ????????? afterwards requested Yet the said Arthur alto afterward requested has not yet paid The said Two Hundred Thirty five pounds one Shilling & one penny to the said but has not entirely refused & still Doth refuse to pay him the Same To the Damage of the said David Smith Two Hundred pounds Lawfull Current Money and therefore he brings his suit & So forth
