The Wheel of the Year

The Wheel of the Year is the eight High Holy days of the pagan calendar or sabbats. They celebrate the turning of the seasons and the birth, death and rebirth of the God. In addition to the Wheel of the Year, all full and new moons are also holy days, these are called esbats.

Samhain October 31 or November 1~

The beginning and the end of the year. This is the time when the veil between the physical and the spiritual is lifted and communication between the two realms is easy. This is also the time when the God Lugh who died at Mabon sends the souls who have died in the previous year to their destinations. It is a celebration of the Resting Time of the Earth and a remembrance of those who have died.
