WWWCentaur Board Posting # xxxx

The following posting was made on April 30, 1998.

OVERVIEW:

It is official. The ersatz research team has formally stated that I am a centaur filly and not some sort of horse-like mutant. That statement was based on a detailed analysis of data collected over the weekend. With the formal statement is a list of physical attributes that the E-team considers to be essential for physical centaurness.

Below the formal statement, in bold print, is a disclaimer that is twice as long as the formal statement. The disclaimer acknowledges that the formal statement is based on a very small sample population and is subject to modification.

Think of it as scientific weasel wording. 'George' says that "It ain't science unless it can be duplicated." He is looking forward to visiting Joe and Marie this weekend.

I hope it isn't a trap.

ITEM ONE: Pelvic changes--Bone

The calcium shadow is gone and we're getting these fantastic three-D scans of my body. At this time the scans and my 'transformation journal' are being integrated with 'George's' computer simulation to provide a second hand 'view' of the change sequence. While the result won't be 'science' it will be educational.

On the quantitative side, E-team members are wading through the data in an effort to determine how things work. I suspect it will be weeks before they make much headway.

Note that this item is now combined with Item Two and presented as Item Eight: Equine Body

ITEM TWO: Pelvic changes--Soft Organs

The equine reproductive system and the rudimentary gut that occupied the 'shelf' is now a full set of equine 'innards' suitable for a foal. Tests thus far indicate that they are as functional as those of a foal that is less than a week old.

Up front I still have the two lobed sac between my legs and the vaginal opening of a human female. If we did the testing right, my sperm count is effectively zero. 'Anita' will be out of the hospital tomorrow and may be available by the weekend.

Note that Items One and Two will be combined and presented as Item Eight: Equine Body.

ITEM THREE: Pelvic changes--Were-Spheres

They appear to have disappeared. The calcium shadow they cast is gone and the blood vessels and veins that supported them appear to have been redistributed throughout the body. 'George,' our comparative physiologist, has been doing an extremely detailed analysis of the scanning data obtained before Earth Day. He refuses to tell any of the E-team what he is trying to find.

I think that 'George' is miffed at me for becoming a centaur faster than expected. He shows his displeasure by calling me 'Misty dear' and treating me like a little girl.

Our long friendship has certain disadvantages. Two of my weaknesses might be considered feminine and a little childish. 'George' has been exploiting those weaknesses by giving 'Misty dear' little gifts after a painful or boring test or scan.

My response is to act like a little kid with a favorite uncle. I squeal and giggle and prance around while opening the gift. Then I give 'George' a big hug and thank him for the goodie.

There are also advantages to our friendship. 'George' is such a lovely sight when he's blushing.

My family and the E-team members think that I should expand my 'little girl' act. They point out the fact that a wide eyed girl child on the verge of tears can melt the heart of almost any sentient creature. If that girl is 'lost' and trying to go home, so much the better.

I had my doubts that a hundred and eighty four centimeter tall centaur could pull it off. Those doubts are now gone because of a video tape that was shot the other night while I practiced the 'lost child' act. Even when she towers over the adult, Misty of Varna can bring tears to your eyes.

ITEM FOUR: Lactation

I'm flat chested again. There is absolutely no sign that I had a functional 'milk delivery system' not too long ago.

ITEM FIVE: Cumulative Changes

Ignore this section until further notice.

ITEM SIX: Mental/Physical Health

All is well with the world. I don't itch, I don't ache and I'm not too worried about getting pregnant.

I think that Sunday's run put the universe in the proper perspective. Centaurs are meant to move at a trot or gallop. When still, they are couch potato humans or barn sour horses.

Since Sunday I've been running just before dawn and just after sunset. My 'track' is a dry stream bed on state property not far from the house. Trees, steep sides and blackberry briars keep observers out. My wife drives to the stream bed and parks so she blocks the entrance. I climb out and do my running while she makes latex molds of the rock outcroppings. Thus far nobody has stopped to ask what she is doing.

Mentally, I think I'm still me. The code I write is the same and most of my old interests are intact. Of course, how many people have a good idea of who they really are?

A day or so ago my wife and kids talked about my behavioral differences in light of my physical changes. The conversation rambled on until sometime past midnight. We concluded that most, if not all, of the behavioral differences existed prior to the physical changes. When the body feminized it became okay for the behavioral differences to express themselves fully.

In short, becoming female made it possible for me to be myself. The 'real' me wasn't really the 'real' me.

I may start watching movies again. Women in American society have a right to cry when the end of a movie is happy or sad.

That feels right somehow.

ITEM SEVEN: Cravings

My diet is still restricted to equine vitamins and mare's milk formula. A couple of days ago 'Arnold' was able to supplement my diet with colostrum from a mare who had given birth to a stillborn foal. He believes that the colostrum should help my dietary restrictions.

Me may be right.

ITEM EIGHT: Equine Body

Think of a filly foal about ten hands high. She is all legs and she is covered with foal fluff.

Now replace her short, cute tail with one that sweeps the ground unless it is properly braided. That's what my equine body looks like when viewed from the side or rear.

When viewed from the front you have to know that you're looking at to realize that the flesh between my legs isn't all equine chest.

Internally everything in the fully equine part of the body appears to be fully equine.

ITEM NINE: Human Body

This is the part that is out of synch with the rest of the body. As stated before, I appear to be an anorexic pre-teen with an adult sized torso. I'm flat chested, a real contrast from before the change.

I also have equine ears to go with a longer equine mane. The ears are several centimeters above their original location. This made it impossible to use a regular phone. At the same time I think my hearing range has improved.

Internally, things have simplified. My human stomach connects to the first of the equine stomachs via a short, muscled tube. The human kidneys, bladder and intestines are gone.

Genetically the ration of equine genes versus human genes is increasing while the 'unassigned' genes become rarer. 'George' thinks these 'unassigned' genes control the changes.

Nobody is arguing with him.

Well, it has been a long and busy couple of days. I think that I may be winding down the project that has been using so much of my work day.

Bye for now,

Ms. Dee
