Flamingo
HOME: In or near brackish or salt water in warm climates
LIFE SPAN: 25 years in the wild, 50 years in the zoo
LOOKS: The neck and legs of a flamingo are long. It has an unusual bill
that is bent downward. The knees bend backwards.
FOOD: Small parts of plants and tiny water animals, sometimes insects.
HABITS: Flamingos are friendly and can be found in large flocks.
