Playa La Ropa
Zihuatanejo, Guerrero Mexico
(December 28, 1996 - January
02, 1997)

-
LEFT: That's Ryan and Kristin... taken from our condo on the day we left La Ropa for Guadalajara. Playa La Ropa is in the background... we had about a 5-10 minute walk down to the beach area.
-
RIGHT: Both Ryan and Kristin got to go parasailing. Once the parachute was attached a speedboat would take them around the bay at La Ropa. The Mexican workers were enamored with Kristin, so she got a longer ride than her brother. : )

-
LEFT: La Ropa is still quite
primitive. The "shaved ice" man is one of many vendors that walk
up and down the beach all day selling their wares. Kids will sell "dulces" (candy), "cacahuates" (peanuts) and English newspapers. Women sell other trinkets and offer to braid girls' hair.
-
RIGHT: We hadn't planned on taking our family to a "nude beach"... but guess what?
Heather paid $8 U.S. for this paper... didn't have the peso figured out!
