Playa La Ropa: Page 2

We rented two units at Villas San Sebastian on Playa La Ropa. Heather and I stayed in the lower unit while Kristin and Ryan stayed in the upper unit. We were a little disappointed with the accomodations, especially considering the prices. But then again, there aren't many bargains during the peak season. Heather wished that there'd been a swimming pool. [Note: I just visited their website and see that they've added a nice pool!]
Villa del Sol is an exquisite complex situated on Playa La Ropa. There are beautiful pools located through the buildings, along with the amenities found in any fine hotel. We were able to walk down the beach to their outdoor restaurant area for lunch. They even took plastic!
This is where Heather wants to stay if we ever go again.
The "Alligator Man" on La Ropa
Heather took this photo of a guy we refer to as "Alligator Man". He appeared on the beach once a day with his gym bag full of "critters". He expected people to pay to have their pictures taken with him and his animals.
When he saw Heather taking his photo he chewed her out... it's a good thing she didn't know much Spanish! She still gets the creeps when she thinks about him.
