  Tlaquepaque Ryan

Tlaquepaque (T lah kay paw kay) is located within a short taxi ride from Guadalajara.  The colorful streets are lined with all sorts of shops... from fine Mexican artisans to not-so-fine Mexican crafts. There are street vendors everywhere... we couldn't walk 1/2 a block without being asked to buy a tablecloth (nice ones, but we weren't look for those) or hammocks.
LEFT:  Here you can get a feel for the street activity.  The little stands are being set up for the day.  They'll be selling all sorts of food items
RIGHT: Ryan poses outside of the restaurant after lunch.  I think it was called "El Paraiso". An open-air atmosphere... good food & pleasant decorations.

LEFT:  This little guy was quite a flute player... Kristin & Ryan each bought one of his "pan flutes".
RIGHT: An Indian woman displays her "trinkets".... ! Hay gangas allí !

Paletas  This was one of Ryan's first chances to practice his Spanish.  He says that the ice cream was some of the BEST he's ever had!
