nakedeye.jpg (5955 bytes)NAKED EYE (Hager, 1988). OGB. S white; F cream, fading to white, maroon signal; gold beard. Mohr Pretender X Cool Oasis.

NEW DISCOVERY (Holden, 1980). OGB+ S light rose with fine veining; F slightly darker, dark red-purple signal; buff-yellow beard. Hf16: (I. auranitica I. auranitica x ‘Clara’) X Wilkes Seedling: (MG10SalxW7 x Arjuna Aga). One of my favorites of the type, a strong grower with a weather- resistant flower.

NITZAN (Shahak, 1983). S violet veined darker; F light greyed orange veined darker. Dark brown signal. Yellow green beard. I. samariae X ST72-176 (AB seeds from Andie Houck).

NONCONFORMIST (McAllister, 1998) OGB+ Not at all typical of seedlings produced by crosses between the tetraploid arils and halfbreds. Dominated by pale blue-violet domed standards that are open enough to show off greenish-buff style arms with blue-violet midrib. Greenish-buff falls are almost covered by rust stippling that converges to a burgundy signal at the tip of a bushy bronze beard. The plant is much like that of its regelia ancestors, but the flower is much more onco-like. Werckmeister's Beauty X Whirlwind Tour.
