2: Contents of this Hypertext

I set off from the idea of what the so-called "Family Mediation" means to me, I suggest a de-construction of its components and I face myself and themselves to their complexity. Then I propose five major themes and the related sub-themes; I only give a general idea of them all.

The five themes are:

1. Family .
2. The theoretical railing through which mediators observe families and the models we use in our practices.
3. Mediator.
4. Legal System.
5. Social System.

This selection is made following the notion that in a mediation process we find:

...a family

...that is observed and assisted by a mediator (or a team of mediators)

...who do this from a theoretical position and using models (with their corresponding techniques)

...being both the family and the mediators affected by the legal system in which the mediation takes place

...and the parties, the mediators and the legal system are all pervaded by the social system to which they belong.
