Families, made up of individuals, are pervaded by the social system to which they belong. That is why this constellation has changed throughout history, since a current Argentine family is not the same as a family from the times of Ancient Greece. There are also great differences between urban families and rural ones in Argentina.
Knowing the social system, its principles, its mandates, its myths, etc, will enable the mediator to understand and to respect the families turning to mediation.
