One of the best things about the web is that it has aroused and displays a geneous outpouring of creativity. There are many sources for free graphics on the web. And with scanners it is possible to put almost any image in print onto the web. However, be both courteous and cautious. When you use an image that is offered for free on the web, it is a good idea to give credit to the source in an acknowledgment. |

If an image has not been offered for use, be cautious about copyright. The laws governing copyright are convoluted. Rather than attempt to describe a guideline, I prefer to recommend this link to a summary of the laws and add a word of caution not to use any images that might be considered "proprietary."
