Begin you must and then you go

The Magicks there and back again...

There comes a point where all things differ in various degrees. This is, if anything else, a Universal Truth.
Hold on to the Universal Truths that you discover along your Ways. They are precious and they are rare.

Here is one instance where the Tending and Tapping of the Magicks differs -- sometimes radically -- from the well-trodden path of what we may consider the more widely accepted and followed Pagan/Wiccan ways of looking at and doing things Magickal. However, this does not make this any more or less valid, as it does not make any of the more 'traditional' slants any more or less valid.

The Magicks retreat now. They have been for quite some time. Our pollutions, our mistrust, our losses of belief and our self-centerdness have interrupted the Magicks' natural flows to a point where they need our Tending more than ever just to find a reason to stay with us.
Trees scream.
Animals live scared and confused.
Some have been silenced forever.
They can't even scream anymore.
Others are in immediate danger of becoming forever silenced.
Children kill.
And so it goes.

The Magicks follow a course that we can see in the Nature around us. In order to thrive and survive, the Magicks require some powerful Tendings...some well-managed Tapping. They are affected by the majority, just as everything else is.
The Magicks follow a course that naturally dictates Survival Of The Fittest.
Cold, perhaps, but true.
Sometuimes Nature is not kind. Sometimes Nature is not pretty. Any National Geographic Special will show us that. A certain savagery exists amoung all living things.
On the other hand, where there is true power -- where there is life flourishing and thriving and breathing -- the Magicks, as with Nature, can be a very beautiful thing to witness indeed...an imperfect nirvana, if you will.
The waters run clear and un-tainted.
The plants reach for a warming, golden sun. And they do this in proficiency.
When things are in balance, the Magicks -- as all of us -- grow and learn and play and LIVE. When the balance goes one way or the other, then the Magicks and all that it touches has no choice but to follow the off-center.

When things reach a point where that off-balance arrives at the point where permanent harm is evident -- where survival itself becomes a big question-mark -- then the Magicks must go to where things are balanced again...where life is just beginning...where entire worlds are just beginning to crawl out of the primordial ooze...where the Magicks can heal themselves and be Tended as they should be.

The Magicks need us. There does come a time when it is too late. We need the Magicks. We need to show them that we BELIEVE and are doing what needs to be done to sustain them through ACTION.
Though the Divine Source of the Magicks never wanes, it certainly knows when the getting's good. The Magicks know when our connections -- and those connections of Mother Earth -- weaken with every atrocity, with every evil intent and with every single one of our lacks of Tendings and Tappings.
To keep the Magicks -- to keep them despite their weakened condition as compared to hundreds perhaps thousands of years ago -- we must strengthen our own efforts. We must take responsibility for everything we do in hopes that we can clean the writings on the wall and begin to be where we should be.
The Magicks require this, or they could very well abandon us forever.
We must do what we have to do. We must bear and raise our children responsibly...show them the difference between right and wrong. We must harness our spirituality once and for all and replace the greed that permeates our world with that same spirituality.
We must do what must be done...what we feel and what we know.
We must unify...help, support and guide one another.
And we must do it NOW.
