There is a Universal Feeling out there. Every human being, animal, vegetable, mineral and those that we have not even seen yet are influenced by it. God, Goddess, the Magicks, the rush we get when we love and are loved, the instant anger we feel when a terrible injustice has been done, the moment a squirrel knows somehow that the last acorn has been stored for the winter to come...they all comprise an all-encompassing flow that each and every one of us is plugged into, aware of it or not.
There was a time when this was common knowledge. Perhaps the Magicks chose to make themselves more obvious to us then. We have Runes, the Tarot, herbal treatments handed down to us through the centuries, rituals and ceremonies that are still practiced by many peoples today to bear witness to this. The Norse and Celtic beliefs still exist and flourish in many areas. There are several remnants of the Old Ways remaining alive in many of the Christian denominations.
Faerie. Native Indian everyday life. Halloween. Yule. The Celebrations Of The Equinoxes. Nessie. King Arthur.
Legend is laced with truth.
The Force. The stuff of epic science-fiction movies. Or is it more than that?
While Luke and Company flash across the big screens, we have all been and are subject to the Magicks. We vividly think of someone that we have not thought of in a very long time. Suddenly -- almost immediately -- the phone rings. Or the doorbell rings. That same person who we just thought about -- so strongly that we envisioned them -- is on the other end or standing right outside our front door. A patient, diagnosed with a life-taking disease near the point of death, suddenly and miraculously recovers. Opportunity knocks, out of left field and totally unannounced. And we answer it, not knowing the reasons why but knowing that it is the right thing for us to do.
We know these things to be true. Most of us have experienced them directly or know of someone who has. The Magicks flow continuously. The Magicks work. They can heal when tapped as intended. They can harm when twisted. They can be safe when called upon with good intent and a warm heart. They can be dangerous if not Tended and Tapped with firm and good intent.
No matter how we plug into the Universal Feeling -- the Magicks -- one thing holds true: WHATEVER WE DO HAS AN EFFECT!...somewhere to someone...some time to something...
