The difference between Christianity and all other religions is largely
this, that in the others man is seeking after God, but in Christianity God
is seeking after men. - Thomas Arnold
For all the negative things we have to say to ourselves, God has a
positive answer for it.  God's answer:

 You say:        "It's impossible"
God says:       All things are possible (Luke 18:27)

 You say:        "I'm too tired"
God says:       I will give you rest ( Matthew 11:28-30)

You say:        "Nobody really loves me"
God says:       I love you (John 3:16  and John 13:34)

You say:        "I can't go on"
God says:       My grace is sufficient (II Corinthians 12:9 and Psalm 91:15)

You say:        "I can't figure things out"
God says:       I will direct your steps (Proverbs 3: 5-6)

You say:        "I can't do it"
God says:       You can do all things (Philippians 4:13)

 You say:        "I'm not able"
God says:       I am able (II Corinthians 9:8)

You say:        It's not worth it"
God says:       It will be worth it (Romans 8:28)

You say:        "I can't forgive myself"
God says:       I FORGIVE YOU (I John 1:9 and Romans 8:1)

 You say:        "I can't manage"
God says:       I will supply all your needs (Philippians 4:19)

 You say:        "I'm afraid"
God says:       I have not given you a spirit of fear (II Timothy 1:7)

You say:        "I'm always worried and frustrated"
God says:       Cast all your cares on ME (I Peter 5:7)

You say:        "I don't have enough faith"
God says:       I've given every one a measure of faith (Romans 12:3)

You say:        "I'm not smart enough"
God says:       I give you wisdom (I Coronthians 1:30)

You say:        "I feel all alone"
God says:       I will never leave you or forsake you (Hebrews 13:5)

Footprints....
This is a quite well known little piece of writing, which was originally attributed to an anonymous author but it now seems that it was written by a Mary Stevenson(1922-1999).  It is a sort of summary of what it is to be a Christian, how someone has thought to express what they feel it is all about perhaps and maybe it will mean something to you as well.

One night a man had a dream.
He dreamed he was walking along the
                            beach with the Lord.
Across the sky flashed scenes from his life.
oooO              For each scene, he noticed two sets of
(   )                  footprints in the sand; one belonging to
\ (    Oooo.          him, and the other to the Lord.
\_)   (   )      When the last scene of his life flashed
) /           before him, he looked back at the
             (_/            footprints in the sand.
He noticed that many times along the
.oooO                 path of his life there was only one set
      (   )                 of footprints.
\ (    Oooo.     He also noticed that it happend at the
\_)   (   )         very lowest and saddest times in his life.
) /          This really bothered him and he questioned
              (_/           the Lord about it.
"Lord, you said that once I decided to follow
oooO                  you, you'd walk with me all the way.
(   )              But I have noticed that during the most
\ (   Oooo.          troublesome times in my life there is only
       \_)  (   )          one set of footprints.
             ) /        I don't understand why when I needed
(_/            you most you would leave me."
The Lord replied, "My precious, precious child,
I love you and I would never leave you.
During your times of trial and suffering, when
you see only one set of footprints in the sand
it was then that I carried you."
