Welcome to my movie page  =) heehee. These are the movies I've seen this year with my hunni.  Oopsie!  this page might take a while to load up becuz of all the pics and stuff...if you like the poster, click on the thumbnail for the full size poster okies? ^-^  I also have a lil drew barrymore page =)

march 10th, 1999 14A  I remember my friends telling me NOT to go see this movie when I first suggested seeing this movie.  I guess it had to do with the content..cuz it's bad stuff and i'm supposed to be "innocent".  Well, as usual I didn't listen to anyone and I went and saw the movie anyway.  This was the first movie I saw with Edwen and the next day we were officially boyfriend/girlfriend so for me the movie kinda means something to me =P  It is actually an interesting movie and not that badly made.  Well, if you know how people are these days then the movie really isn't that shocking.  Critics compare it with the movie "Dangerous Liasons" but I've never even seen that movie before.  I guess most of you know that Reese Witherspoon and and Ryan Phillipe recently got married(They met on the set of this movie) and I think Reese Witherspoon already had her baby cuz she was very pregnant b4 they got married.  And in the words of my friend Mike who liked the movie also, "this is one of those movies where the good and bad get exactly what they deserve."

march 16th, 1999 18A I don't remember much about this movie except it was an action/drama and it had that chow yun fat guy and Mark Walberg(am I the only one who thinks that he sorta looks like Matt Damon??) in it.  It was a little like one of those typical chinese cop movies and most of the movie was about a chinese cop showing a white cop his way.  The ending was sad though I think and I guess the movie wasn't too bad but it wasn't so good that I remember too much of it.  Maybe it was a lil too predictable.  or maybe it's just me cuz i'm not one of those peeps who luv action movies(not a fan of voilence). (**note:  i saw this movie again on video a few days ago and actually this movie isn't that bad.  It's worth watching.)

march 27th, 1999 GENERAL This has got to be the worst and most boring I've seen this year!  I didn't really like this movie at all and the only good thing bout seeing this movie was that I was with my hunni...=Þ  The King and I was originally a musical but I've never seen the orignal one.  Just this animated version which wasn't very good at all.  I just thought it was dumb the whole time and I wouldn't have watched it if it was on television.  Maybe this would have been entertaining for a 4 year old but I definately didn't like it at all.

april 02nd, 1999 PG
The previews for this movie seemed ok so I guess that's why we went and saw this movie.  Some parts of it was good like when the guy(third from the right) was singing "you're too good to be true" to that girl he liked while he was being chased on the bleachers.  I thought that was sweet =)  I also remember the younger sister telling that guy that her older sister can't be a virgin(or intends to stay one) cuz she owned black underwear but I think that is totally not true =Þ  Overall, this movie wasn't too bad or really good either.  There are some funny or nice parts to it.  Maybe it's because this is a movie about highschool kids and I feel too old for that stuff now.

april 10th, 1999 PG When I found out that Drew Barrymore had a new movie coming out, I knew I just had to see it =)  I haven't seen a movie with her her in it that wasn't good.  I think what made this movie good was that I could relate to it.  Josie(Grossie) had to relive her highschool days as a geek because she was so determined to come up with a good article and prove she could be a reporter.  I totally luved this movie!  ^__^

april 14th, 1999 PG I'm not a really a Jacky Chan fan and the Chinese versions of his movies are usually much funnier cuz things get cut out of the English ones.  But the preview was interesting.  What sucked the most was the computer editing I guess.  And it wasn't THAT funny.  There really wasn't anything interesting bout this movie at all.

May 07th, 1999  The only freaky thing in this movie was the bugs...but that's bout it.  You can tell everything was computer animated.  And it just wasn't scary at all.  It's not one of those movies that make you think lots bout it afterwards either.  To sum it up, this is yet another one of those movies not worth seeing.

June 6th, 1999 PG For some reason I really didn't like Julia Roberts after seeing this movie.  I liked "My Best Friend's Wedding" a lot(most because of that gay George guy) but because I didn't like Julia's character in this movie, I really hated her after and I didn't find this movie romantic at all.  I just kept on thinking she's so snotty and self-centered and that feeling stuck with me throughtout the whole movie.  She always had to get it her way and she did it seemed.  And it something was wrong, she couldn't blame herself.  If it was just acting, I think Julia Roberts must have done a good job cuz I HATED her character afterwards.  And that innocent "i'm just a girl..." line didn't really have any impact on her because I already hated her by then and nothing would've changed my mind bout her and I was really hoping that the poor guy would just let go of her because I didn't think she was worth it.  Overall, the movie wasn't that bad.  It's just that Julia's character was soooo annoying.

June 11th, 1999 PG this movie is certainly different.  I didn't even find it that funny and most of it was kinda sick in my opinion.  I'm not really an austin powers fan and I find him pretty annoying.  That mini-me was pretty cute tho, i gotta admit =)  heehee.  I never saw the first austin powers movie so maybe I didn't catch all the jokes either.  I saw in the newspaper that they're putting this movie back into theatres..ugh..and I'm so sick of hearing "shagadelic" and all those austin power terms everywhere.

June 21st, 1999 18A  This was an ok movie.  I don't really have any complaints about it and it was sorta suspenseful.  I don't have much to say bout this movie cept it's not not that bad so it's worth seeing.  It's one of those more serious movies(action/drama) which is a change from the usual comedies.

June 30th, 1999 PG You can get big daddy wallpaper for your desktop at www.sony.com/bigdaddy. I have it on my desktop.  It's a picture of him and the lil boy in his toll booth.  Why I have it there, I have no idea really cept that I work partime as a parking attendant(kinda like his tollbooth job) and I'm not that ashamed(hey..it's only a part-time job =P).  When I found out bout this movie, I really really wanted to go see(I think guys and lil kids are adorable and sweet) it but it wasn't as good as I thought it would be.  Maybe i'm just being picky tho.  There are some funny stuff in there and I bet lotsa peeps think that McD's serves breakfast up to 11:30 am(it's 11am) on weekends cuz I certainly did.  The commercials for this movie were funny like the part where they went to central park to watch the rollerbladers trip and fall, or when the kid's teacher tells him that he's got the "smelly" kid in the class.  But it seemed that the commercials showed the best parts already cuz there really wasn't any more.

July 5th, 1999 18A  I'm not a big fan of south park.  I guess i'm just not into that kinda stuff.  The movie was pretty much the same as the tv show except it was " bigger, longer, and uncut".  Hmm..the scenes I remember most are Satan and Saddam Hussein in bed together(satan's the more sensitive one) and it was mostly about the south park seeing this "canadian movie" which was bad and which influenced their vocabulary so much that their parents started a protest.  How ironic since this movie is American and it's one of the rudest I've seen.  Oh well..I have nothing really to say cept that I've seen it ad I'm STILL not a south park fan. and Oh, I didn't know what "rimming" was before this movie, but my new knowledge of it did contributed my (low?) 61% on the sparks purity test.

July 15th, 1999 GEN This movie was pretty good!  =)  Maybe it was becuz this is a Walt Disney Movie..but the music was nice.  And I wasn't dissapointed =P  It's nice but be sure you have some tissue w/ ya cuz it has it's sad moments *sniffsniff*.  But no worries, cuz it has its funny moments too =)  Only thing was that Tarzan kinda seemed perverted(eg. that scene when he was touching Jane's leg).  heehee.  I thought this was was rated G =P

July 26th, 1999 18A This movie is unique  =P  I've never seen anything like it.  This is probably yet another movie I should not have seen but I did anyway...  Actually it's pretty funny but it's not really appropriate for all ages(it's 18A) because it deals with sex I guess.  My favourite part tho, is probably how the guy fell for the choir girl.  I also think they did a pretty realistic portrayal of the couple who finally did it(but probably wasn't ready for it).  And of course after you see it, it's kinda hard to forget about the girl w/ the flute and her stories of band camp..heehee =Þ

August 07th, 1999 14A  I didn't think I would like this movie too much and I was hoping to see the blairwitch project(which i didn't).  Some of the images in the movie were really gross and so freaky I had to close my eyes but the best part was probably the ending.  It's a good movie because the whole idea is kinda freakish(you'll find out at the end of the movie what I mean).  People say the lil boy did a great job acting.  I guess he did but I think it's also cuz he's cute.  (i kept on thinking to myself why is he such a loner in the movie cuz he didn't seem unlikable at all).
The Sixth Sense

September 18th, 1999 14A The whole idea of stigmata is freaky and I certainly learned a lot of things in this movie, including what stigmata is.  I walked outta the theatre feeling kinda weird, and even a little scared.  The ending wasn't that good but overall the movie was good because I liked the idea.  Usually i'm not one who likes to see too much blood and stuff like that but it got kinda repetitive so the blood didn't bother me too much anymore.  What scared me was the meanings and the symbols and the ideas...

November 20th, 1999 14A I was expecting a lot out of this movie since i'm a big fan of Tim Burton's Edward Scissorhands and maybe I came out a little dissapointed.  The movie certainly looked very beautiful but it didn't have that same magic that Edward Scissorhands had.  I thought Christina Ricci looked very beautiful in the movie and has some very scary scenes(that sometimes still scare me when I think about it).  It also has some funny scenes and there's romance too, of course =)  For some reason, Johnny Depp, who plays ichibald crane, reminds me too much of his character in Edward Scissorhands.  Overall, this movie is ok, but besides its beautiful scenes there's not much more.
