| I Kissed Dating Goodbye | Josh Harris | Josh Harris has written what might be the best of the bunch in describing what Courtship is about without using the word Courtship. He looks at a new approach to dating relationships, calling young adults away from playing the dating game and revealing how they can live a lifestyle of sincere love, true purity, and purposeful singleness, this book will inspire teens and young adults to remap their romantic lives in the light of God's Word. |
| Dating vs. Courtship | Paul Jehle | Probably the best book written on the subject of Courtship utilizing the approach of Team Ministry. Jehle sees the necessity of young men and women being together, but his approach is to put them to work together as teams, not as romantic partners. An excellent resource. |
| Quest for Love : True Stories of Passion and Purity | Elisabeth Elliot | Elisabeth Elliot is a remarkable woman. I highly recommend this sequel to Passion and Purity, this work describes a safe, dependable relationship that takes couples back to the meaning of Christian courtship. Today's singles have few role models for forming a pure romantic relationship. Elisabeth Elliot speaks as an Old Testament prophetess against a people without respect for morality. |
| Passion and Purity; Learning to Bring Your Love Life Under Christ's Control | Elisabeth Elliot | This book tackles tough subjects that are necessary to be tackled if one wants to bring every aspect of his or her life: especially their love life, under the Lordship and control of Christ. In the words of Elisabeth Elliot herself: "The love life of a Christian is a crucial battleground. There, if no where else, it will be determined as to who is God: the world, the self, and the Devil, or the Lord Christ." Sharing some very personal memories of her life with Jim Elliot, and the *five years* of waiting that they had to do before they knew it was God's will to marry, Elisabeth proves that she walks her talk, and give valuable, Godly information on many aspects of singleness, marriage, and love from a strong Christian point of view. |
| My Utmost for His Highest Journal | Oswald Chambers | Not really a Courtship book, but an excellent gift for someone graduating from High School or College. This is Chamber's classis work with the addition of a journal area to record your personal thoughts for each day. I have given these to my graduates the last 2 years and they have loved them! |
| Rainbow Six | Tom Clancy | Not even a Christian book, but one of my favorite authors new release. Order it from Amazon and save 40%! |
| The Jesus Record | Rich Mullins | Rich Mullins recorded the songs on this album shortly before he died in a tragic car accident. This is the result of many people coming together to release this trubute to him and to Jesus. Great stuff! |
| King of Fools | Delirious | One of my youth asked me to add this one. Says they are sold out all over town! |
| The Excellent Wife: A Biblical Perspective | Martha Peace | Some folks in my church are using this and say it is excellent. I highly recommend it based on their feedback. |

| Joseph: A Man of Absolute Integrity (Hardcover) | Chuck Swindoll | The third of Swindoll's Great Lives from God's Word series is about Joseph. Here is what one reader has said about this book. Chuck Swindoll has outdone himself with this book. He focuses his attention on the fact that no matter what wrongs that Joseph incurred, he, Joseph always came through with ing colors. Jospeh is an example of a Godly man that we should all pay close attention to. Especially on how he deals with temptation, forgiveness, anger, and patience. |

| A Social-Science Commentary on the Synoptic Gospels | Bruce J. Malina and Richard L. Rohrbaugh | This volume is a commentary on Matthew, Mark, and Luke from the perspective of life in Jesus' day. A highly recommended volume for any serious student of the Bible. |
