As a Youth Minister, I know the power of music. Music is something that teenagers listen to from the moment they wake up until they go to bed (and many times even after). I have always encouraged the teenagers I work with to listen to Christian music. The problem has been, where to locate it. I have always told the youth that there is a Christian alternative to every type of music they like, and it is true. On this page, I will provide the best of this music. We are in partnership with CDNow, the largest music store on the Internet. I was pleased to find that they had all of these title available, and at a discount.
I do want to encourage everyone not to copy tapes. We want to encourage Christian musicians to make quality music. The way to do that is to purchase, not copy, their music. It is unethical and wrong to copy. Please don't. Now, on to the music.

Individual Groups
This section contains links to different Christian bands and all of their music and videos. I have tried to include the major Christian artists that teenagers enjoy.
Audio Adrenaline
- One of the big 3 Christian bands, with DC Talk and Newsboys, this group is Christian Rock at its best. The listing includes 5 different albums, including their latest Some Kind of Zombie.
Carman
- Carman has a great sound and a great message for teenagers. His R.I.O.T. CD is especially good.
Clay Crosse
- Clay has an excellent sound and message. The song I Surrender All is a classic.
Steven Curtis Chapman
- Steven Curtis Chapman is a great blend of Country and Contemporary Christian music. His down-home lyrics speak to the heart of both the teenager and the adult.
DC Talk
- The most popular of the new generation of Christian bands. They started with a hip-hop sound and have moved toward alternative, but their message has never changed. Great lyrics and a super sound.
Geoff Moore and the Distance
- Geoff Moore is my personal favorite. From Home Run to Evolution his music speaks to the head and the heart. Have moved from a pop sound to a more alternative sound with their latest album Threads. Can't miss with their music.
Newsboys
- This group from Australia has taken America by storm. Their first his was I Am Not Ashamed and their message has never changed. They boldly proclaim Jesus Christ with a quality that more than rivals mainstream bands. Pick up some of this music.
Plankeye
- This group is not for the faint of heart or of ears. They have a strong alternative sound, but with a message that is pure Christian. Get this for the Alternative music fan in your home.
Point of Grace
- Point of Grace is the best female harmony group going. A super pop sound and excellent message. If you haven't heard them, you need to.
Rebecca St. James
- Rebecca is an 18 year old girl from Australia who is highly visible in the True Love Waits movement. Strong voice and message.
Jaci Velasquez
- Jaci is a 17 year old girl that sings like someone much older. She speaks directly to the heart of youth and adults. Excellent music.
