"The saddest thing is if at the end of your life you say 'I wish I did' or 'Why didn't I?' You have to go after it with full gusto in life, whatever it is, go after the stupidest whim, because you pass by once." - Gene Simmons |

"The concert on June 13th, 1997 in Toronto was your typical ZZ Top concert. ZZ Top did not give us a flashy show, but instead presented us with great music which is what I expected and looked forward to as I have seen them quite a few times on various tours. The stage was an African village scene with a grass hut at each side. The audience reacted well to their popular older songs, especially La Grange my favourite. The songs from Rythmeen insighted less of a reaction from the crowd and myself. Billy Gibbons was great on the guitar as usual as was Frank Beard on the drums. Dusty Hill played a mean bass which was once again great to see and listen to but his negative reation to the crowd, kind of puts a damper on myr enjoyment of his performance. For example, when the beach balls from the growd came on stage he refused to hit them back out to the crowd like Billy did and instead gave their road crew, on the side, a nasty look and had them remove them. Overall it was great show with great music and I look forward to seeing them again." - Review by :-)Omega(-: from Toronto, Canada |
