This movie is about a mysterious girl named Mayuka, who suddenly appears out of nowhere and claims to be Tenchi's daughter. All the girls don't believe her until Washu checks her DNA, and finds out that Mayuka really is Tenchi's daughter. But Washu is unable to find the mother's DNA and all the girls try to find out if they're wife of Tenchi in the future. Eventually, everyone gets use to Mayuka except for Ryoko who fears for Tenchi because of Mayuka. Not only that, but every once and a while, Mayuka begins to act very strange and violent. They soon find out that a demon named Yuzuha is the one who created Mayuka, and tells everyone she plans to use her to take away Tenchi. But instead her plans are foiled and Sasami is taken away instead. Tenchi and Ryoko go through the portal that Yuzuha made while Tenchi's grandfather explains to them that some of their powers might not work in her dimension so they have to be careful. They eventually free Sasami and Mayuka from Yuzuha, but Tenchi is unable to stop or destroy her because his Jurain powers don't work in this dimension. Mayuka is then killed for her betrayal and apologizes to everyone. Ryoko and the others forgive her and Sasami mourns for her loss. Ayeka then sends Tenchi a branch of the Tree of Light, which turns into a sword and is used to destroy Yuzuha. Tenchi then finds out that his grandfather and Yuzuha use to be friends when they were just little kids. Tenchi's grandfather says that it's no big deal and it was when they were young and foolish. Later everyone mourns for Mayuka's loss, especially Sasami since they both became such good friends. Washu then says that she is able to make Mayuka alive again by reborning her, but everyone must agree to do this. Everyone agrees except for Ryoko who eventually agrees since she misses her. The movie then ends with everyone standing around a green tube and seeing Mayuka being born again.
My Review: Not as good as the first, has some action, but the plot isn't what I call exciting. Shows Yosho's past and has some comedy, but I don't really recommend seeing this movie unless you're really interested in seeing how everyone reacts to hearing that Tenchi has a child. |
