About Amiboshi no Aijin
My name's Joy. I'm a helpless manga fiend. I have an insane obsession with doujinshi and anime/manga Drama CDs, and spend most of my money satisfying my hunger for it. I'm not even fully myself, since Seki Toshihiko owns my soul.

Of the Chamber's Birth
Manna/Lex, a great e-pal of mine, started the Aijin Directory and asked me if I wanted a title. Since "aijin" = "lover," I was tempted to take the title for either one of my two favorite FY characters, Nuriko and Tasuki. However, I noticed that my third favorite character Amiboshi barely had any web shrines [at the time] while the other two are extremely popular among the web FY fandom. To maintain a balance to the force... oops, wrong story. To give equal opportunities to Amiboshi and in the process serve the other Amiboshi fans, I decided on "Amiboshi no Aijin" and started making my first webpage. Time flew and with advices from both old friends and new visitors, I reconstructed the site and made several improvements. I also realized I'm starting to like Suboshi more and more... to the point where sometimes I like him over Amiboshi. ^^; Anyway, my image archive grew and I found more fanfiction and fanart to archive. What started as a simple character shrine somehow turned into a little bit more. Heh.
And I hope you all realize the "Amiboshi no Aijin" title is just a joke. I have no intention of being paired up with Amiboshi in any romantic or sexual fashion. Even if Amiboshi isn't way too young for me (he is), I'll still pick Ewan McGregor over a fictional character. *leers*

Other Accomplishments
Before FY, I was involved with several drawing projects which presents my proudest works. These work include inspirations from Reiko Shimizu's "Moon Child" and "Kaguyahime," and from the anime series Rurouni Kenshin and Card Captor Sakura. After I started working on this site, I lacked the time to really commit to my artistic projects. Thus, while I did manage to make a doujinshi-ish comic strip for Ritz's fic, a cover image for Tetris no Miko's fic, and some FY artwork featured on the FY doujinshi page, I won't say they are anywhere near good. After FY, I did something for Weiss Kreuz and several for Gundam Wing. I don't have anything planned currently, because I would rather spend the time reading fanfiction.
Other than artworks, I also did some writing and translating. My first fanfic was based on the Rurouni Kenshin universe. It was in Yumi's point of view and it went into depth the relationship between Yumi, Soujirou, and Shishio. I only showed it to two of my e-friends though because... well, I didn't think the story is completed yet. My first MAJOR translation project was on the manga series Ayashi no Ceres. It was the first time I work with a partner (Tetris no Miko) on such a project, so it was an interesting experience. You can find all of my translations at Nekojita's Ayashi.net or at Tetris no Miko's website. Oh yeah, before Nekojita add part two of volume 9 on his page, you can find an unedited version here. I'm currently considering other translation projects, particularly "Kaguyahime" and the mangaka freetalk/interviews for "Yami no Matusei."
