Updates

2-17-2003 IMPORTANT NEWS. PLEASE READ.

This site is indefinitely closed. Simply put, I've lost all interest in Fushigi Yuugi and am now occupied with other fandoms. I cannot guarantee I will make the complete transfer of this site's content to my new domain, but if I ever did, I'll make a formal annoucement here.

I've taken down the Links page. It's just not practical to leave it, since majority of the websites I linked are no longer in existence. Please note that NONE (except one, which you see on the main index page) of the manga scans will load, because Geocities had deleted my manga images account. Similarily, the anime "OVA Omake" images are down. All other images should load fine, as long as you don't abuse the bandwidth.

I may or may not choose to re-upload the manga and OVA omake pictures in the future.

Regarding the site contents, same policies still apply. I scanned and made my own manga images and screen captures, and you're free to use those on your website. The only exception is that a section of the screen captures was obtained from other sources with permission to be used on THIS site. If you wish to use those images for your site, you would have to ask the person who made them. All credits are noted on the image pages and the arigato page for this purpose.

Regarding FANWORK: all fanfiction and fanart are copyrighted to the fan work authors and artists. If you want to use any of them or host them on your site, please contact the fan work authors and artists first individually for permission.

Again, I want to thank everyone for continuing to visit the site during its stagnant period.

I'll answer some Frequently Asked Questions here:

Q: What happened to Tetris no Miko's site?
A: She had moved her site here.

Q: What's the difference between the normal OVA and the OVA omake?
A: The new site will have more comprehensive info and screencaps, but here's the basic idea:

As we all know, the Fushigi Yuugi TV anime covers manga volumes 1~13. The normal OVA consists of two arcs. The first OVA has 3 episodes and is mostly unrelated to the manga. It's something the animators made up to cover the time lapse between manga volumes 13 and 14. The second OVA has 6 episodes and is based on manga volumes 14~18.

The OVA omake is an extra series of shorts that are meant to be, well, funny. You are supposed to see them as completely different entities from the original anime or OVA episodes. ^_^ The OVA Omake "Fushigi Yuugi Wrap Party Bus Trip" covered on my site comes from OVA 1.1~1.3, thus the three parts. OVA 2.1~2.6 also have their own omake shorts called "Fushigi Akugi," or "Fushigi Jokes." There are three omake parts per episdoe.

In addition, there is a Special OVA featuring Watase-sensei's favorite scenes from the anime, some seiyuu interview, and a new 2-part omake making fun of Nakago-sama. It's called "Nakago Shikk ari Shinnasai," or "Hang in there, Nakago!" Miaka and Tamahome treat him like dirt in it. ^^;;; Now, I love Nakago to bits, but this is hilarious stuff!
