Saitou Hajime Saito Hajime, the former captain of the 3rd ShinsenGumi troop. On first appearance in RK, Saito was first assigned by the government to test Kenshin's fighting abilities. Later he had to team up with Kenshin to fight against Shishio. Saito fights Sanosuke a lot, but always treats him with a mentor's attitude. His main technique is called "Gatotsu". Jine Udou "Kurogasa" Jine is a former ShinsenGumi member, with a deadly technique called "Shin No Ippou" that seems to paralyze his opponents. He tried to bring out the hitokiri in Kenshin, but failed miserably.
