Shishio Makoto In his past he was a hitokiri, much like Kenshin, hired by the Ishin ShiShi government to do as they wish. He was extremely skilled, a perfect killer with only one flaw [as the government saw it] he was too cunning. Fearing that he would eventually betray them, the government attempted to get rid of him by setting him on fire. Miraculously he survived and has formed the Juppangatana, a band of ruthless killers that will help Shi-Shi-O meet his eventual goal of world domination. Seta Soujirou the Tenken A step-child, adopted by a heartless family, Soujiro has grown up into an emotionless killer who faithfully serves Shi-Shi-O as his second in command. He has trained under the Kenpo disapline and formed his own technique called "Tenken". With a heart of stone and a god-like speed he is possibly the most dangerous of the Jupongato. Yumi Komayata She is Shi-Shi-O's right-hand gal. Never seperated from Shi-Shi-O, she is his main support. Always caring and insightful, she is the closest to Shi-Shi-O outside of maybe Soujiro. Hoji Sadojima the Hyaku Shiki He could be described as "Shi-Shi-O's clerk". He has strategy and management skills the Shi-Shi-O uses to keep order within his own chaos. Hoji is the guy who takes care of all the paper work and usually stays in the background. He is extremely loyal to Shi-Shi-O, which might be his eventual downfall for he lacks half the insight that Shi-Shi-O possesses. Usui Having been defeated and blinded by Shi-Shi-O, Usui now lives only to extract revenge. The experience of being blinded and almost dying allowed him to develop a technique referred to as "Shin Gun". "Shin Gun" can be described as the ability to read an opponent and successfully counter due to an advanced hearing ability. This technique and his stealth-like attributes make him a very affective killer. Kamatari the Ohyama She or rather "He" is one of the stranger [if that is possible] members of the Juppongatana. But don't let his appearance deceive you, he is a very skilled fighter. His "Reaper and Chain" combination make him a difficult opponent to attack and a very deadly opponent on offense. Anji the Myooh Anji is a "fallen priest" who now has joined to Juppongatana to make is "Guze" become reality. He is now filled with a deep hatred, after seeing loved ones killed by the government early on in his life. His "[technique]" allows him to smash an object with a single blow and means instant defeat for anyone who comes in contact with it. Cho Nicknamed "broom-head" by Sanosuke, Cho is a very twisted individual with an abnormal love for swords. His weapon of choice is the "[sword name]" which is a long, flexible sword capable of changing directions in mid-air. His attack is only limited by the number of swords he possesses at the time. Henya the Hisho One of the weaker members of the Juppongatana, Henya is a bird/bat man of sorts. He uses explosives to propel himself high above the enemy, at which time he can pick them apart from above. His light body and wings of sort make this attack very natural to him and extremely effective. His limited and very cheap attack makes him a less important and respected member of the Jupongato. Iwanbo Possessing the I.Q. of a twig.. maybe.. Iwanbo is definately the strangest of the Juppongatana. He's abnormally over weight, which turns out to be his main form of defense. He simply absorbs, literally, all attacks which leaves opponents helpless long enough for him to attack. His only real attack is some sort of claw attack, which he can use on multiple opponents at the same time. Saizuchi the Hagun He is the only member who doesn't acually fight. His job is simply to control Fuji and make sure he follows Shi-Shi-O's orders. He might also take part in strategy considering his vast amounts of knowledge. Fuji Fuji is well.. BIG.. and that's an understatement. Possibly 5 stories tall, this mammoth killer is by far the strongest of the Juppongatana. Having been ridiculed and beaten by people has a young child, his low self-esteem has allowed Saizuchi to control him for Shi-Shi-O's use.
