Ginny Weasley...the last and nearly forgotten...*

GINNY WEASLEY

Ginny Weasley is the youngest Weasley child. She, like the rest of the Weasley clan, has flaming red hair. The moment she met Harry, she was helplessly smitten with him. Whenever he was around, she wouldn’t speak, and was prone to squeek. However, recently, she has moved on from Harry, and has begun acting normal around her. Because of this, we’ve gotten more of a glimpse into what Ginny is really like, and she reminds me a lot of her Mother.

In her second year, Lucius Malfoy left the diary of Tom Riddle in Ginny’s cauldron at Diagon Alley before term had started. When Ginny began writing in the Diary, she discovered it’s hidden abilities. Through the diary, Tom began possessing Ginny, and he made her open the Chamber of Secrets, releasing the horror within upon the school once again. Harry, with the help of Ron and Hermione, solved this mystery, and Harry defeated Tom Riddle, the Diary, and the Basilisk deep within the Chamber of Secrets.

As stated above, Ginny has gotten over Harry. Thus, she has been more prominent in the more recent books. She became an active member of the D.A. in book five. Also in book five, she accompanied Harry, Ron, Hermione, Neville, and Luna to the Department of Mysteries to rescue Sirius Black. There she battled valiantly alongside the others.
