The Weasleys: Seen by most as respectable enough wizards. Friendly, pureblood. And yet, they either get all the negative attention (*coughDRACOcough*) or none at all.
My boy Ron's got it really bad. I mean, what would it be like to be someone really famous' best friend. Everyone knew who they were, but no one ever knew who you were. You're just the kid next to Harry.
That really would suck wouldn't it? Especially since Ron and Hermione take place in all the adventures. Granted, in book 5 (spoiler, highlight to read)
He did get a bit crazy with the brain thing in the Department of Mysteries, but that wasn't his fault!
So even though you're helping your best friend, he's always getting the glory. That would drive me mad!
I'm kind of worried for Ron, really. I know JK said sometime that Ron and Hermione were both going to live (she did say that, didn't she?), but I mean mentally. He's lasted five years in the shadow of his best friend and (here's the R/H shipper in me) probably in love with his other best friend and yet he hasn't gone completely bonkers. So far, he's only ever gotten mad about it in one book... how can you be that loyal? Ron's not a Hufflepuff!
I guess what I'm just saying is this: Even if Ron lives through the war, does that necessarily mean he'll always be on our side? *shrugs* It just seems like if it were me (thank god it's not), I would be tempted to go a little bonkers after all this time and just turn on Harry. Not permanently, mind you (maybe), but I still think we should keep our eyes open for some movement from Ron....(take a look at Percy, after all...)
