by Charity PLEASE NOTE: The following was written pre-OotP. Fred & George Weasley Okay, if you've read our notes, you will see that all of us (BtB's crew) agree on one thing:THE WEASLEY TWINS ROCK!!!! Now let's examine this.... Fred and George must have a blast being identical twins. For on thing, they get to play the greatest mind games ontheir mother, Molly Weasley. They could do these tricks on their friends, but then they might lose them, so you know... Another thing that must be really neat for the twins would be the whole brain wave thing. Somewhere out there there was something stated that some identical twins share brain waves. Meaning they could think what the other twin was thinking. That could fuel some of the Weasley twins mischief. But we may never know... Okay, enough about the "being" part, let's look at who they really are. Fred and George may both come across as shallow characters, but really they have deep emotions that we could only begin to imagine. (Note from Tess:*cough* and I'm crazy? j/k) We all know that the Weasley family is huge, and if you look at the children in chronilogical order, Fred and George are, let's say, in the middle. And if any of you out there are middle children you know what I'm getting at. Older sibs to pick on you and younger ones to annoy you. Plus, Fred and George are twins, identical ones, too. Thus creating the "refered to as one" thing going on. So one has to wonder... Do Fred and George get in trouble because they want more attention? It could be. The next day that you are at school, look around. The ones getting into trouble are the ones seeking attention, positive or negetive, because there is a lack of in the home. (Tessa says: Too true.) I AM NOT saying that Molly neglects Fred and George, I'm just saying that she occasionally over looks them. We all know how demoralizing that can be. We also need to consider, while studying Fred and George's character, what is expected of them. Bill, Charlie, and Percy all graduated from Hogwarts with high merits. Fred and George didn't do very well on their O.W.L.s. Well, at least not as good as Mrs. Weasley wanted. Now, the Weasley twins will stick to something if they are completely commited. For one thing, they are excellent Beaters. They should consider going pro. However, if Quidditch fails them, they do have a back up plan. Weasley's Wizard Wheezes: a store packed with the clever inventions of two brilliant minds. Fred and George want this joke shop very badly, despite their mother's wishes. If they finally get it going, the wizarding world will be a lot more "gaggy," shall we say. (Personally, I hope there is mention of W.W.W. in book 5, it will be very cool if so!) (Tessa says: There probably will be more jokes, as it is F & G's last year....) Determination, kindness, humor, and the ability to prank and annoy are what the Weasley twins, Fred and George, are known for. They are two deep characters, ones that are more than what meets the eye. |
