Tessa's Liking: 4/5 Stars - Storm's Brewing - Not sure, but I like it a whole hell of a lot better than Harry/Hermione.

Ron/Hermione: For fans that catch those 'looks' they give each other.
Alright, here we go. Ron and Hermione. Wow. Now, if you've read my commentary on Harry/Hermione, you have an idea of how I feel about that. I believe that the following are the more than subtle hints in the books and the movies. (Keep in mind this is the VERY short list that Tessa's lazy butt would compile. I is book one, II is book two, so on and so forth.)
Books:
IV: "Where is Hermione?" [Ron] said again.
"Padma's going to meet you in the entrance hall," she added to Ron. "Right," said Ron, looking around. "Where's Hermione?"
"Hermione -- who are you going to the ball with?" said Ron. He kept springing this question on her, hoping to startle her into a response by asking it when she least expected it. //Not to mention this entire charade throughout the book. 'Vicky' and Ron's jealousy at going out with Krum. I'm not going to bother with all those quotes, it's much too obvious.//
V: "Don't let Ron see what's on those Slytherin's badges," she whispered urgently. Harry looked questioningly at her, but she shook her head warningly; Ron had just ambled over to them, looking lost and desparate. "Good luck, Ron," said Hermione, standing on tiptoe and kissing him on the cheek. "And you, Harry --" Ron seemed to come to himself slightly as they walked back across the Great Hall. He touched the spot on his face where Hermione had kissed him, looking puzzled, as though he was not quite sure what had just happened.
"You should write a book," Ron told Hermione as he cut up his potatoes, "translating mad things girls do so boys can understand them."
"...And it might have been a good idea to mention how ugly you think I am too," Hermione added as an afterthought. "But I don't think you're ugly," said Harry, bemused. Hermione laughed. "Harry, you're worse than Ron.... Well, no, you're not," she sighed, as Ron himself came stumping into the Hall splattered with mud and looking grumpy.
Movies: The handshake at end of CoS. How obvious, oh God. She hugs Harry because she's much more comfortable with him. She shakes Ron's hand because she's not very comfortable. I'm not even going to bother with all the subtle film stuff in the movies. Go watch them, for God's sake!

ANYWAY.... So just take a freaking look at Canon. It's there, and not exactly hard to find. JK even states in several interviews that Harry and Hermione were platonic friends. Click the link if you don't know what platonic means. And so, the canon discussion is at an end.
Now, fandom on the other hand, is a completely different area. Since I, again, don't read much het fanfiction, I can't offer you an honest opinion on what Ron/Hermione fics are like. I can't really take a guess, because there are a lot more options for R/Hr fans. So I'm not even going to bother.
As for my personal preferance, this is arguably my favorite het ship. The only other close one would be Harry/Ginny, and I've lost intrest as of late. Ron/Hermione leaves lots of reasons for me to like him. I'm really more of a Lone Hero shipper as far as Canon goes- probably because I think Harry ought to die in the end of Book 7. He can't have a girlfriend in grief.... look at how "normal" Cho turned out in Book 5!
