Tessa: Ok, who are we going to discuss today?Charity: I believe it was Ron.
Tessa: Poor Ron. So overshadowed by his brothers. I think his being jealous of Harry prevents them from being the best friends they can be.
Charity: Yeah, but maybe, because he is so forgotton, that could be why he is friends with Harry.
"Oh look, there goes famous Harry Potter and his friend. Is it Ron? Yeah, Ron's the name."
But, I think Ron is friends with Harry because he has a good family background.
Tessa: Yeah. I just think that if Ron weren't so jealous (even if I see where he's coming from) they'd be better friends - something Zoe can't quite grasp.
Charity: Ouch. (This is HP, not us though)
What I admire the most on Ron is the fact that he is a good friend, and he cares. If you look in the first book, at the chess game, Ron sacrificed himself for Harry to do what he needed to do. Now there isn't any jealousy there. Because if you think about it, if Ron was truly jealous, like Malfoy, then Ron would have figured a way to continue on and take on Voldemort himself. But he let Harry do what he needed to do. That's friendship.
Tessa: Yeah, I agree. Now let's not get back on Malfoy... lol. I think Ron will see eventually that he has no reason to be jealous... not like Harry likes the publicity.
Charity: Of course. Ron and Harry are the perfect picture of friendship. That is really cool because it shows that the famous/popular and the outcasts can be friends. I like that moral. But Ron, he has it pretty tough.
Tessa: Yeah he does. You can tell... Ron has potential to be better than his brothers. The question is... will he do it?
Charity: We'll see I guess.
