On the 13th - 15th of December Lt Cdr Armstrong, Lt Cdr Cardwell, CSM Rachel Switzer and CSgt Stuart Lyle attended a Target Rifle course held at Ballykinler Traning Centre. The course consisited of both classroom and practical lessons in using the target rifle. Classes included breathing control, aiming and grouping. On Saturday morning we headed off to the 100m range to fire .22 rifles and after lunch we moved to the Gallery Range to try out the 7.62 weapon. Saturday night then consisted in a few more lessons on score sheets and a trip to Newcastle to buy pizzas and on Sunday we were again out on the range firing the 7.62's. The weather was REALLY cold as you can see from the photo below!
