2006 belonged to one man only- Hrithik Roshan. He had always threatened to be the best, he had always threatened to overtake Shahrukh, Aamir, Salman but he always fell just short. Whenever he delivered a hit he would follow it up with a dud. Whenever he looked like climbing to the top the rungs would break beneath him. But in 2006 nothing stopped him. THE 2006 BOLLYWOOD TODAY FILM AWARDS
Lage Raho Munnabhai leads the way!
The 2006 Bollywood Today Film Awards sprung some surprises as no one film dominated, with the most-nominated film, Omkara winning only one nod of approval. In the end it was Lage Raho Munnabhai that took home Best Picture, but it was Deepa Mehta and Seema Biswas who surprised by taking out Best Director and Best Actress for their work in Water. Amazingly the film is yet to be released in Indian cinemas.
Hrithik Roshan won his second Best Actor award from Bollywood Today having tasted similar success for his role in Koi Mil Gaya in 2003. Having been nominated twice in the category Hrithik was recognised for his role in Dhoom 2 where he stole the thunder alongside some very capable performers.
Dor took out some of the smaller awards while Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna dominated the musical category.

SALAAM-E-ISHQ
'Kal Ho Naa Ho' was perhaps one of the finest works I've seen from a debut director. That's why I can't wait for Nikhil Advani's next film 'Salaam-E-Ishq'. Following the stories of 6 different couples from 6 different parts of the world (Love Actually anyone?) this film is one of the biggest releases of the year. With a star cast featuring names like Salman Khan, Priyanka Chopra, John Abraham, Anil Kapoor, Vidya Balan and many more it's really no surprise!
