Hi guys!  My name's Cassandra!!  And I just wrote a whole long page all about me, and then it got deleted, don't you love it when that happens?  :)  Anyhoo, so... like I was saying... My name's Cassandra  :)  I am currently in the middle of finals week at Oklahoma State University.  As you can see, I'm not being very productive  LoL!  OSU has this really cool deal where during finals week, from 10pm till 1am the student union has free pancakes and coffee for everyone  :)  its a tradition, everyone goes.  So I'll get to head over there in about twenty minutes yum!!
Anyhoo, so I *would* stay here at OSU forever and ever till the end of all time, as was the plan.  However, soon this institution will kick me out on the street with no money, no skills, no parents to pay the rent, with nothing but a sociology degree in my hands.  Maybe I can burn the sociology degree for warmth while I'm living in a box in the alley behind the Denny's.  That's about as much use as I'll ever get out of it.  You wanna know what I learned in college?  I learned how to cram a semester's worth of information into my head the night before an exam, remember it just barely long enough to get it down on paper the next morning, and then forget everything the moment I walk out the door.  I looked on Monster.com, and unfortunately, that doesn't fill any job descriptions.  SO, I'm sending out resumes to all sorts of employers, filled with gross exagerations, and a couple of flat-out lies about all the valuable information I learned and all the practical skills I acquired while attending OSU.  Mostly the people who have been writing back have been for sales and marketing jobs.  I don't really care who hires me or what i do right after I graduate.  Cause I've got plans  :)
See, there's this school out in California, called
Moorpark Community College in Moorpark.  They have have a program unlike anything else in the country!  It's called Exotic Animal Training and Management.  And what's so cool about it, is while you're learning how to take care of and train animals, you get to actually take care of and train them!  There's a zoo on campus that's completely run by the students.  You get animal assignments, which tells you which animals you get to work with, and you put on shows, and feed them, and enrich their lives!  It seems like the coolest place and the most awesome program in the world!  I first learned about it in high school when they featured the school on Animal Planet's Moorpark 24/7.  I wanted to join the program then, but I was too afraid of the price tag and I wasn't willing to work for it.  Now, I guess I've grown a bit, cause I'm so willing to put my life on hold for two or three (or more!) years until I save up enough money and get accepted into the school.  It's really competitive, only fifty people are allowed in every year.  But I've already decided I will do anything and everything it takes, and I will, someday, be a student of the EATM program in Moorpark  :)
So... as I was saying... I really don't care who hires me or what crappy position I get, because I just need a job to save money to go to Moorpark.  Hopefully I'll find a job that will pay me at least 30,000 a year, that way in two years I hopefully will have the 50,000 dollars to attend Moorpark.  The tuition isn't actually that high, it's just living in California that's so friggin expensive!  I will probably take out loans if I don't have it all, but two years will probably be all I can take of a marketing job.  SO!  Here's to 2007!  May it arrive very, very quickly  :)
