     Title: Encounter at Farpoint

     Story by Rick Berman, Ronald D. Moore & Brannon Braga, screenplay by Moore and Braga, published: 11/1994 Novelization of the movie.
     Picard ponders himself as the last Picard when his brother and nephew dies. Romulans have attacked an unarmed stellar lab, Starfleet wants to know why. Trilithium is the prize. Dr. Tollan Soron has secretly stabilized it. He is the survivor of a temporal energy anomoly that killed Admiral Kirk 75 years before. Soron is rescued by the Klingon Duras sisters. He developed the super explosive to reroute the anamoly called the Nexus so that he can go into it, which is a joyful otherworld of eternal fantasies. Kirk is already in it. The future of the galaxy is at stake. The Duras sisters die when their ship is destroyed. The saucer has been separated from the battle bridge for safety when a warp core breach erupts. The explosion slams the saucer into the planet, the survivors pick up the pieces after. Soran has built another star-killer and is preparing to activate when Picard tries to stop him. He fails and goes into the Nexus where he finds Kirk. The two captains return to the surface again to stop the destruction of the star and the alteration of the Nexus. They defeat the scientist.

     Title: Dark Mirror

     100 years ago, 4 crewmembers of the U. S. S. EnterpriseTM crossed the dimensional barrier and found a mirror image of their own universe, populate by nightmare duplicates of their shipmates. Barely able to escape with their lives, they returned, thankful that the accident which had brought them there could not be duplicated - or so they thought. But now the scientists of that empire have found a doorway into our universe. Their plan: to destroy from within, to replace one of our Starships with one of theirs. Their victims: the crew of the U.      Eighty years ago, bodiless entities brought a plague of violence and bloodshed to the planet Vulcan. The nightmare ended only when the entities were trapped inside special containers.
