Binge eating is when a sufferer consumes large amounts of food in a very short amount of time. It is similar to Bulimia except sufferers do not purge. Sufferers use food to block out feelings and emotions or to fill a void within them from something else in their life that is missing
.The main signs of Compulsive Overeating are:
- Weight gain
- Low self-esteem
- Depression and anxiety
- Loss of sexual desire
- Hiding food
- Swollen glands
- Feelings of guilt and shame
- Secretive eating patterns
- Suicidal thoughts
But remember, not all sufferers will have all symptoms, depending on the severity of it!
