High Pointe is doing awesome! They currently run about 400-500 people a week in the new high school auditorium and either they are or they are thinking of running a second service. They were in an elementary school, but out-grew it.
Since they don't have their own church, Kevin finally began leasing office space so he is not working out of his home. They have about eight full-time staff members, several of whom followed the Sullivans from Houston to Washington.
The Baptist Convention was to help fund High Pointe Church until June of this year. But, since High Pointe was so successful, Kevin decided to cut the funding from them so the money could be better be used for other start-up churches. The tithing from High Pointe is still not where it should be but they were able to cut the funding due to all of the contributions from the people of Houston and from Second Baptist. Pretty amazing!
Last week Kevin was really sick and could not perform the Sunday service. So, Nancy stepped up and gave her testimony in front of the entire church.
