Written February 2001

Lynn and I were discussing how small any problem in life is–in comparison to God's bigness. One of us said "our God is bigger than all thatt' and we both immediately recognized the line as a "song seed' and wrote it down. The idea incubated far almost o year before it unexpectedly came to full bloom upon rising one Saturday morning. We affectionately refer to this song as "Graadma's Song."

We chose to stop after our first and only attempt at recording this song for this CD because we blt the intended heart and feeling of the song mede it onto the recording.

Romans 8:31-39

This song is dedicated to Betty Bowen (Lynn's mother), one of the greatest Grandmas ever.

12. Our God is Bigger'n All That
(Grandma's Song)

When I was a young boy when something bothered me Looking down from Grandma's lap
was the safest place to be
The song she sang made everything right
Her song is still with me been with me my life

Listening lovingly however long I took
One hand held me close to her the other held her book
The song she sang could fix anything
She waited for my smile before she started to sing

Our God is bigger 'n all that
He cares for us that's a fact
Life's big things or small
God can handle it all
Don't worry
Our God is bigger oh so much bigger
Our God is bigger 'n all that

She left us her book with a little note inscribed
Saying teach this to the children always keep it close by
And if ever there's a problem
and you don't know what to do
Just open this book up and sing this song too

No trouble too tall
No teardrop too small
Our God is greater than them all
