It was very late in the evening and I was waiting for my luggage at the airport. Every- one's luggage was late, and all the waiting people were visibly tired, grumpy, silent and motionless. Not one person was smiling. It seemed like I was the only person with any energy or life–or joy and bope–like l was in a mannequin showroom. I thought about so many people in the worId without God and without any bope, and the line came to me. "So many smiles frownin' in pain." By the time I got my luggage and arrived home, I had the lyrics to this song.

To truly have hope and always be able to hold on to "The Hope" of Cbrist's return and eternal life, one must know God's premises. "Hope knows God's promises."
