Skyline: An orange sun appears and turns into a Jack-O-Lantern

Plot: Frasier is holding a Halloween party for his family and friends, where everybody must come dressed as his or her heroes. They'll also be playing a new psychiatric "game", which Frasier has invented. Cue numerous cancellations until only the Cranes, Daphne and Roz are at the party.

Frasier has dressed up as Sigmund Freud, Martin as Joe DiMaggio, Niles as Martin, Daphne as Elton John and Roz as Wonder Woman. Frasier's game involves them all answering questions as their hero, but soon everyone loses interest and start to do more "fun" things. Plus Frasier thinks that Niles dressing up as Martin has questionable motives. He storms off in a huff.

When Frasier returns after realising how silly he's being, Niles has been drinking beer as "Martin". He's getting very, very drunk. The next question is "What is your biggest disappointment?" Niles as Martin says its his kids. The real Martin is of course very hurt by this.....

Meanwhile Frasier discovers the kids in the building think he's going to eat their brains. This started because Frasier used to tousle their hair and they thought "Old Man Crane" was preparing to eat them.....

Subtitles: It's Flu And Party Season

Trivia: This episode was the first to say "Executive Producers: Peter Casey and David Lee". Before it also listed the late David Angell as one too. Once again Niles gets drunk at a Halloween party (Ep 98 "Halloween"). Alice is back, this time played by different actresses. She also looks younger than she did last week :-). Roz has taken her out trick or treating and she dressed as a puppy. She spends the party sleeping in Frasier's room. A mention of Hester Crane - it's revealed her maiden name was Palmer and she and Martin met in 1952. This doesn't fit in with my "When Martin Met Hester" series - click here for details. Gil and Kenny call to say they're not coming as they're sick. First appearance of Steven Anthony Lawrence - he plays a trick or treater here who reappears next season - the character has a name then, Jason White. And Eddie makes a reappearance - he stares at the stuffed dog that Niles as "Martin" is using as "Eddie".
