Billie and Mike met when both boys were 10, they met each other in the school cafeteria ihn 1982. Billie and Mike were introduced to the punk world through his older bros Matt & Eric. Billie, Mike and a drummer named John formed a punk/rock band together and named themselves "Sweet Children". On the day before Billi'e 18th he dropped out of school, he was in his senior year with only 6months to graduation. From that point he decided to dedicate all his time and effort to the band. John, the drummer at the time made the dumbarse decision to ditch the band and head off to college. They met Tre Cool who at the time was the drummer of another band called "the lookouts", they took him in straight up and later would rename themselves as "GREEN DAY". In no time they were touring and gigging all of the country. They had no money so they would crash at fan's houses.
But its all changed and the guys from ol' Berkley Cali, have made it big not only for themselves but also the PUNK ROCK revivalation. These political punks are the best thing that happened to the music industry SO ROCK ON BOYS!!!
