RUTHERFORDTON CITY CEMETERY

This cemetery is on the east side of North Main St. in
Rutherfordton, NC. The entrance is on the right a few hundred
feet after you pass St. Francis Episcopal Church which sits in
the corner of Green St. and North Main St. I am doing the audit
by sections and the first section will be called Section # 1. It
is the section that is beside North Main St. from St. Francis’
Church to the entrance and over to the drive that goes south
through the center of the cemetery and out into Green St. behind
St. Francis’. This section has the oldest graves in it that are
in the cemetery. I started in the northwest corner of the section
and tried to make it in rows but this was impossible so you will
just have to search around. I began this inventory June 2, 1997.
