Well, to begin with, my name is Kim. I'm 32, divorced, and I have a beautiful 7 year old son named Cole.
My life hasn't been an easy one, but I am proud to say, it hasn't beat me yet. Heartache is part of everyones life, and how we choose to deal with it is the key to our future.
The most important thing's in my life are my son, and my friends. I am not a person who has friends she parties with, but instead, I choose friends that will be with me years down the road, when I need a shoulder, or just an ear. The few friends that I do have, know me inside and out, and have no problems putting me in my place when they feel I am wrong (although that isn't very often) *giggles*.
The poems you are about to read come from the heart, and deal alot with feeling's everyone has. I do not claim to be a good poet, nor do I wish that, but instead, I want everyone to take something from my poems, whether it be a tear, a laugh, or just a thought.
I have been writing poems since I was a teenager,on subject's from lost love, to my grandparents. I have just recently been able to show them to anyone. I have alway's felt that they were a piece of me, and I wasn't willing to open the door and let anyone that close to me. But threw a very dear friend, I have learned that it's ok to let people close, and that not everyone is out to hurt you. As for him, he know's how I feel, and to post a bunch of mushy stuff about him would be fruitless.
