Ask me about my concrete home! I'll be happy to answer any questions you may have!
1. Energy Efficiency! The most dramatic homeowner benefit is the insulatin value of the high-mass walls. Values of R-30 are common for finished walls and reduce heating/cooling costs by 50% and more, compared to framed wall buildings.
2.
Convenience! Form assembly and bracing is done with common hand tools and result in a clean, low impact work environment. Lite-Form is a popular way for amateur builders to save money by building their own concrete foundation or home The system is extremely fast and can be done through the coldest winter months.
3.
Quietness! The solid concrete walls offer superior protection from sound pollution and are preferred for high noise level areas.
4.
Strength! Lite-Form walls easily resist 100+ mph winds...far superior to other building systems. Below ground, the reinforced walls resist buckling and cracking nearly 5 times better than hollow concrete block foundations.
5.
Fire Resistance! The typical 3-hour fire rating is a comforting benefit in terms of life-safety and lower insurance premiums.
All information is from Form No. LFO197 published by Lite-Form International in 1997.
