The main components of the Lite-Form system are the plastic "ties" and the styrofoam "planks". The ties are placed into fabricated slots cut into the styrofoam. The planks are then stacked on top of one another with the ties acting as attachment anchors. It is a simple and very sturdy construction.
The walls are then braced properly and concrete is poured into the center.
One of the many benefits of using Lite-Forms is the readiness of the interior to be finished. Electrical and plumbing lines are easily cut and concealed within the styrofoam. The walls are drywall ready, with ties being 16" on center, no furring necessary.
The exterior of the foundation is covered with a waterproofing membrane below grade. The above grade exterior can be covered with stucco, brick, or siding.
