Malachi Isley and His Descendants |

Malachi Isley was born 1725 in Germany and died May 31, 1808 in Orange County (now Alamance County), North Carolina. He was married to Mary Magdalene who was born July 22, 1729 and died December 24, 1790 in Orange (Alamance) County, North Carolina. Both Malachi and Mary Magdalene are buried at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in what is now Alamance County, North Carolina. Their sons were Philip Isley, born about 1751 in Pennsylvania; George Isley, born April 3, 1768 in North Carolina; and Malcahi Isley II, born about 1769 in North Carolina.
These web pages are devoted to a brief history of the EISELE/ISLEY family, migration patterns including the immigration from Germany and move from Pennsylvania to North Carolina, and various records of Malachi's descendants and not specific genealogical lineages. I hope to add the lineages after we have completed our research and documentation.
As in any genealogical research, we've run into a lot of "Brick Walls" trying to identify all descendants of Malachi. Please visit the "Isley Brick Walls" and let us know if you can identify these Isley's as a part of Malachi's family. 5 March 2005: I'm pleased to say that we have had some success in the "Brick Walls".
